

A self-taught producer, Taia picked up GarageBand while editing songs for her teenage-era dance routines and became obsessed with the idea of bewitching organic sounds with a digital wand. Taia is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter making sounds out of her bedroom in Brooklyn, New York. As well as many headlining and supporting tours he has performed multiple festivals around the world, including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Latitude, and many more. Tor has written with and opened for Grammy Nominated artist Maggie Rogers and has performed as direct support for James Bay’s US tour as well as Aurora’s US and Canadian tour. Tor has been performing all over the United States and Canada for the last few years, playing sets as a solo pianist/vocalist m as well as full band shows. The sophomore album, Surviving the Suburbs, was released in September 2018.An independent artist based out of New York City, Tor Miller’s music is a modern take on Billy Joel. His debut record, American English, followed in September 2016. His first release was in February 2015 with the Headlights EP, containing four tracks, including the positively reviewed “Midnight”. Miller was signed to the independent label, Glassnote Records in early 2014 and subsequently dropped out from NYU due to scheduling problems. When he was 18 years old, Miller attended the Clive Davis School of Recorded Music at the New York University and spent his weekends playing piano at places such as Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, and Slipper Room, a burlesque bar in the East Village. From there, Miller started to develop singing and songwriting talents, starting a pop-punk band during high school. He started to play piano after his parents set up a lesson with a teacher who he said to be “a laid-back New Jersey wedding singer”.
